Madden 16 features better receiving abilities and gameplay as well as many other gameplay improvements. It is a decent madden game not the best for the best go back to madden 2004 to 2008 those are the great madden's on ps2, xbox, and gamecube.

Haven't played 09 yet (its really hard to find for regular xbox by the way), but i've seen some little additions such as the recievers actually being aware of the sidelines dragging their toes, and nice player models. But it better than the new maddens by far!
Madden 10 is a huge improvement on an already great madden 09 in almost every way. I feel like the mechanics are smoother since it was made for 360 whereas 16 was primarily an xbox one/ps4 game that they also made for 360 just to bring in some extra cash. Exempligratia 1 year ago #9.

In my opinion madden 08 was the best of both worlds. There are little things like custom teams still being in the game, regular franchise mode, but my main reason is after 13 ea changed the physics system.
